Pablo Escobar was the drug lord and narcotics dealer, he formed his drug organization called Medellin Cartel in the city of Medellin, Colombia. Escobar was the king of the drug trafficking world for nearly two decades; during this period he supplied drugs to all over the world through ships and planes.

Pablo Escobar’s net worth was around US$30 billion in the 1990s, making him the richest criminal in the history of the world. His cartel was supplying 80% of the Cocaine to the United States, which means four-people out of five were using Escobar’s cocaine.

Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria born on 1st December 1949 in Rionegro, Colombia and grew up in Medellin; was the third of the seven children of Abel de Jesus Dari Escobar Echeverri his father; a farmer and mother Hemilda de los Dolores Gaviria Berrío was a school teacher.

Escobar started his criminal carrier by stealing the gravestones and sold them to local smugglers; but according to his son Sebastian Marroquin, his father started his criminal carrier by selling forged school degrees.

Pablo Escobar had only two ways of dealing with problems “Plata o Plomo”; means “bribe or bullet”. During the period of Escobar’s madness in Medellin; Columbia was called as the “Murder capital of the world”; although, he builds the football stadiums and houses for locals, and gained popularity in Colombia.

Pablo Escobar died on 2nd December 1993 in a shoot-out with the National Police of Colombia. After his death, the rival group Cali Cartel dominated the cocaine business for several years.
